These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Screen Mentor mobile application and its related extensions (the “App”), available at www.screenmentorapp.com. By downloading, accessing, or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

1. The App

Screen Mentor helps users reduce distractions, manage app usage with Apple Screen Time features, use focus timers, and access optional mentor-themed content such as videos and music. Core features may require device permissions, including Screen Time authorization and, optionally, notifications.

2. Eligibility

You must be able to form a binding contract in your jurisdiction to use paid features. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may use the App only with permission and supervision of a parent or legal guardian.

3. License

We grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for your own non-commercial purposes, subject to these Terms and the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions / App Store Terms of Service.

4. In-App Purchases

The App offers optional paid content, including:

• Individual mentor unlocks (non-consumable one-time purchases)
• Yearly Mentor Pass / PRO subscription (auto-renewable subscription)

All purchases are processed by Apple. Pricing is shown in the App at the time of purchase and may vary by region. Taxes may apply. We do not handle payment collection directly.

5. Auto-Renewable Subscriptions

If you purchase the Yearly Mentor Pass (also presented as PRO in the App):

• Subscription length: 1 year (12 months).
• Renewal: Unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, the subscription automatically renews for another year.
• Billing: Your Apple ID account is charged within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period at the renewal price shown in the App Store.
• Access: While active, the subscription unlocks all currently available paid mentors and future paid mentors added during the subscription term, as described in the App.
• Management: You can manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple ID Account Settings → Subscriptions after purchase.
• Restore: You can restore eligible purchases using “Restore Purchases” in the App (including in the purchase screen and Settings).
• Free trial: If a free trial is offered in the future, any unused portion will be forfeited when you purchase a subscription, where applicable under Apple rules.

6. Non-Consumable Mentor Purchases

Individual mentor unlocks are one-time purchases tied to your Apple ID. Once purchased, the mentor remains unlocked for that Apple ID unless otherwise required by Apple policy or applicable law. Restoring purchases may be required after reinstalling the App or switching devices signed into the same Apple ID.

7. Refunds

Payments and refunds are handled by Apple. We do not process refunds directly. To request a refund, use Apple’s standard refund process through reportaproblem.apple.com or your App Store purchase history.

8. Screen Time and Device Features

Screen Mentor relies on Apple system features to restrict apps and display custom block screens. We do not guarantee that restrictions will work in all circumstances, on all devices, or against all methods of bypassing restrictions. You are responsible for configuring the App according to your own goals and device settings.

9. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the App for unlawful purposes
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code except as permitted by law
• Interfere with the App’s operation or security
• Misrepresent your identity or abuse purchase or restore mechanisms

10. Intellectual Property

The App, including its design, mentor characters, videos, music, text, graphics, and software, is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms do not transfer any ownership rights to you.

11. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE APP IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR THAT IT WILL MEET YOUR EXPECTATIONS.

Screen Mentor is a productivity and wellness tool. It is not medical, psychological, or therapeutic advice, and it does not guarantee specific focus, health, or behavioral outcomes.

12. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE APP. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF THESE TERMS OR THE APP WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US THROUGH THE APP IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM OR (B) USD $50.

13. Privacy

Our collection and use of information is described in our Privacy Policy. By using the App, you also agree to the Privacy Policy.

14. Changes to the App or Terms

We may modify the App or these Terms at any time. If we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date above and post the revised Terms at www.screenmentorapp.com. Your continued use after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

15. Termination

You may stop using the App at any time by deleting it from your device. We may suspend or terminate access to the App if you violate these Terms or if required for legal or security reasons.

16. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable in the jurisdiction of the developer’s principal place of business, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where mandatory consumer protection laws in your country provide otherwise.

17. Apple-Specific Terms

If you downloaded the App from the Apple App Store, you acknowledge that:

• These Terms are between you and the developer, not Apple.
• Apple is not responsible for the App or its content.
• Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the App.
• Apple is a third-party beneficiary of these Terms and may enforce them against you.
